BENGALURU: A 38-year-old woman and her husband have been arrested for allegedly murdering her lover last week. The body was recovered from the victim’s mini-goods vehicle recovered from Hoskote town.
Police said Rasheeda, 38, and her husband Syed Ehsan, 42, a driver and resident of Krishnapura village in Maluru taluk, Kolar, were picked up on the basis of call records of Afroz Khan, 32, of Bangarapet, who was found murdered in his goods tempo on November 4.
Investigation revealed that Rasheeda had an affair with Afroz for eight years, but began distancing herself from him after her husband came to know of the relationship. She requested Afroz not to disturb her, but he tried to convince her to continue the relationship.
Rasheeda complained to her husband and the couple decided to eliminate Afroz. She invited Afroz to her house on November 4, where Ehsan killed him with a pickaxe. He dumped the body in the tempo and drove it to Hoskote, where he abandoned the vehicle. The couple confessed to the crime.
