His mobile phone and some money had been lost from the site where the body was found, but the gold chain around his neck had not been taken.
This too prompted the police to suspect that the murder was not for money.

An international aid effort to help tens of thousands of victims of Indonesia's quake-tsunami disaster swung into gear Thursday after days of delays, with planes flying in vital supplies for shattered communities. A total of 1,424 people have been confirmed dead and over 2,500 injured after the monster earthquake struck Friday, sending destructive waves barrelling into Sulawesi island. The double disaster reduced buildings in the seaside city of Palu to rubble — but aid has been slow to arrive and looting has broken out.

‘FBI probe does not back Kavanaugh assault claims’
Republican Senator calls for full Senate vote on confirmation
A new FBI investigation into Brett Kavanaugh found nothing to corroborate sexual assault allegations against U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, a top Republican Senator said on Thursday.
Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said it was now time for the full Senate to vote on Judge Kavanaugh's lifetime appointment to the nation's highest court — even as opposition leaders slammed the FBI probe as "incomplete".
"This investigation found no hint of misconduct," Mr. Grassley said in a statement. "There’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know."
