Nagpur: A day after a 30-year-old woman allegedly killed her son before ending her life, cops have registered a case of murder against the deceased mother. However, cops are still clueless about the drastic step taken by Amrin Irfan Shafi.
Amrin was living with her second husband Irfan, son Umar Shafi (9) and daughter (4) since the last two years after separating from her first husband. Umar was Amrin’s son from her first husband while the daughter was from the second.

Cops said that the reason behind Amrin’s step is not yet clear as her daughter is still in shock. They suspects that Amrin might have taken the step over some family problems.

On Wednesday, Irfan, who works as a driver, had gone out for work. The mother and her two children were at home. After waking up, the four-year-old girl saw her mother strangling Umar and later hanging herself to a ceiling fan.

After witnessing the incident, the girl rushed to the house owner and told him about the incident.

Upon receiving information, Yashodhara Nagar police rushed to the spot.
