Wife, bro-in-law booked as 23-year-old man ends life

CHANDIGARH: A 23-year-old man committed suicide by slashing his wrists as he alleged an illicit relationship between his wife and her brother-in-law. Victim Sachin Kumar of Shahabad Markanda town of Kurukshetra was married to Jaswinder Kaur of Ugala village under Barara sub-division of Amabla district.
Sachin had allegedly caught Jaswinder speaking to her sister’s husband over phone. It happened on Monday night when Sachin had gone to pick his wife who had left their with her brother-in-law Monty.

As he reached Ugala, Jaswinder and Monty allegedly misbehaved with him. They also threatened to implicate him in a false case.

Sachin slashed his wrists and was found unconscious by their common relatives. He rushed him to the Ambala civil hospital where he was declared brought dead. Acting on the complaint of Sachin’s father Ram Kishan, an ex serviceman, police started investigations after registering a case of abetment to commit suicide against Jaswinder and Monty at Barara police station. Sachin’s body was handed over to the family after the postmortem examinations. No arrests were made .
