Noida Police arrests 23-year-old woman, parents for killing man blackmailing them

By Arvind Ojha: Family members of a 23-year-old woman allegedly killed a man for blackmailing them to get him married with their daughter by sending her obscene videos and photos. The incident happened in the Bisrakh area of Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. What is surprising is that the murder was a mystery for seven months.

Ranjit and Neha loved each other and were in a relationship for several years when Ranjit took some obscene photographs and videos of their intimate moments.

He then started pressuring her for marriage by sending those photos and videos to her family members.

On November 24, 2022, Ranjit’s elder brother, Ram Kumar, lodged a missing complaint at Bisrakh police station after his younger brother suddenly went missing. The police took the matter seriously and the investigation of the matter was handed over to sub-inspector Aastha Chowdhary.

Ranjit wanted to marry Neha

When the police investigated the matter, it was found that Ranjit was in a relationship with 23-year-old Neha for the last several years. Originally from Bihar, Neha lives in Ghaziabad with her family. Ranjit used to visit Neha’s home on several occasions. Ranjit wanted to marry Neha. But things were not working out.

Blackmailing for marriage

According to the police, Ranjit adopted the wrong method to pressurize Neha's family for marriage. Ranjit sent some obscene pictures and videos of Neha to her family members and started pressurizing them for marriage. He was sending objectionable pictures and videos of Neha to her father, Rambabu, and brother Shubham.

Neha's family members were very upset due to this. So, on June 13, Neha called Ranjit and told him that her family wanted to talk about their marriage. Soon after Ranjit reached her house where, apart from Neha's father Rambabu, her brothers Shubham and Shivam, Rambabu's brother-in-law Manish was also present. When Ranjit was sitting there talking, suddenly Rambabu held his hands and Manish by his feet.

After that, Shubham and Shivam strangled Ranjit till he lost his breath. Neha was also present at the time of this incident.

After that, all four decided to throw the body in a pond. They took the body to the forest of the loco shed (railway yard) in Chipiyana Buzurg area. There is a pond where they threw the body and left.

On January 26, Chipiyana Buzurg area police received information that a human skeletal was lying in the pond located in the forest of the loco shed.

A team of Bisrakh police station reached the spot and took the body out of the pond and took it into custody. After postmortem, the body was identified to be of Ranjit through shoes, belt, and key. The identification process was done by the brother of the deceased.

Noida Police on Monday arrested Neha and her family members from Shahpur Bamhaita after seven months of murdering Ranjit.
