Music teacher accused in POCSO case takes life; suicide note states he was trapped
Vaikkom: A music teacher who was arraigned as accused in a POCSO case and arrested by the police the other day committed suicide here on Thursday. T Narendra Babu, 51, music teacher at the Ettumanoor Govt Model Residential School, took his life unable to bear the humiliation and pain. There are allegations that some have conspired against Narendra Babu and trapped him. The teacher had mentioned about this in his suicide note. The teacher committed suicide in an uninhabited place hanging from a tree.
The suicide note was found written in a cloth and pinned on the side of the Volleyball court net. He had written in the note that he was trapped in the case and the school senior superintendent, councillor and driver had conspired to book him. There are 24 women staff in the school and none have raised a complaint against him.
The complaint was raised against the teacher only when the superintendent had a tiff and difference of opinion with him. The children of the school were asked to write complaints against the teacher. The suicide note also attached the copy of the complaints filed by the students. Besides the suicide note, a note was found attached to his body demanding a probe against the conspirers and wanted it to be forwarded to the SP, magistrate and district collector.

The Ettumanoor police have filed 14 separate cases under POCSO against Narendra Babu for sexually abusing 14 minor students.
