Gurugram woman held for killing husband
Gurugram police arrested a woman who allegedly hired contract killers to get her husband eliminated. Police found the body from a drain in Bajghera area near Dwarka expressway on Sunday.

Gurugram police on Sunday (January 20) arrested a woman on charges of getting her husband murdered through contract killers for a sum of Rs 16 lakh. Police found the body from a drain in Bajghera area near Dwarka expressway on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Joginder Singh.
"The way dead body was found in cotton bag in the drain and a motorcycle found abandoned there, the pendulum of investigation swung toward the relatives of the deceased. We immediately questioned his wife Sweety and brother," Gurgaon police spokesperson Subhash Bokan said.
Bokan said Sweety's husband Joginder Singh had gone missing from his residence on January 17. Sweety filed a missing complaint at Sector 5 police station the next day.

As Singh's brother suspected his sister-in-law behind the killing, the police began questioning Sweety during which she repeatedly changed her statements.
On sustained interrogation, she, however, finally broke down and confessed to her role in the killing.
Subhash Bokan said the accused woman, Sweety, got her husband killed as she suspected him to be having an extra-marital affair and feared that he would transfer his entire property, including a shop and a house in Sheetla Colony here to anther woman.
She hatched a conspiracy to murder her husband and gave a contract to six youths, including a woman.
"To execute the crime, Sweety contacted her friend Kamlesh who further discussed the matter with her husband Kanhaiya. Kanhaiya later included four of his friends - Jage Ram, Vikash Pal, Yogesh and Pratap - in the ploan," Bokan said.
