Bihar ex-DGP’s son ends life in G’gram

A 38-year-old businessman hung himself to death on the 14th floor of Tulip Violet building in Sector 69 in the wee hours today.
The police booked his wife and her friend for abetment after three different suicide notes were found. While two handwritten notes were stuck to the refrigerator, the third was pasted on the wall.According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Neeraj Dutt, a native of Bihar and son of former Bihar DGP Ajit Dutt. He stayed in flat number 704 on the seventh floor of Tulip Violet society, Sector 69, as a tenant. After 2 am today, he went to the 14th floor by lift carrying paper and pen in a bag.
According to the police, it appears that he committed suicide between 2:30 am and 3 am by hanging himself from the grill of the stairs. His body was found at 7 am by some maids who came to the building. A police team reached the spot and informed his father who stays in Sector 49 with his daughter.The police took the body into custody and found a suicide note pasted on the wall near the grill. During the search of his flat, two more handwritten suicide notes were found from the refrigerator.
"In the suicide notes, he has alleged that his wife Priyanka and one Rajan Bhardwaj were responsible for his death. The maintenance team checked the CCTV footage. He is seen coming out of the lift at the 14th floor at 2.27 am with a bag," said sub-inspector Arvind Kumar, the investigating officer.
Anupam Dutt, brother of the deceased, filed a complaint against his brother’s wife and her friend. As per the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Priyanka and Rajan Bhardwaj at Badshahpur police station.
