The Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch cracked 34-year-old Manoj Mourya's shootout murder case. Manoj Mourya, a resident of Nallasapora, was shot from behind by an unidentified person on Senapati Bapat Road in Dadar West on Friday morning around 7.30 am.
The police arrested Radha Krishna Kushwaha, a resident of Nellothi area in Delhi, along with Rajendra Aherwal and Hemendra Kushwaha — both resident of Urai area in UP — in connection with the case. The accused, Radha Krishna Kushwaha, had given Rs Rs 50,000 as supari to kill his love interest’s husband, Manoj Kumar Mourya.
Mourya was killed at the spot as the bullet hit his neck from behind at point blank.
The Crime Branch had started investigations in the case through CCTV footage and technical evidence and later arrested accused Radha Krishna, who confessed to the crime. He told the police that he had given the supari to Aherwal to kill Mourya. After the plotting, the shootout was carried by Aherwal’s colleague Hemendra, who shot Mourya at point blank that led to his death, said DCP Dilip Sawant of Mumbai Crime Branch.
The police said that Radha Krishna fell in love with Mourya’s wife when she used to work in his inverter company in Delhi in 2017.
When the woman stopped responding to him and shifted to Mumbai, he decided to kill her husband, so she could come back to Radha Krishna, said the cops.
