ALWAR: A 25-year-old woman smashed the head of her husband and hid the body under the bed for two days before setting it on fire to dodge the suspicion of family in Bhiwadi area of Alwar district.
Nisha Yadav was arrested by the police on Saturday after she finally admitted to the murder of Kuldeep Yadav, following a late night quarrel on Tuesday. "Kuldeep had returned home in an inebriated condition that night, following which the couple had a heated argument. It soon turned into a scuffle during which Nisha smashed Kuldeep’s head against the bed," said an official. When she realised that Kuldeep had died, she packed his body into the bed-box and covered it with the blankets and sheets. She kept that body in the same condition for two days before setting the room on fire on pretext that a candle had triggered the fire. Unaware of Nisha’s act, family was forced to file a missing complaint with the police.

When the accused realised that the matter had gone to the police, she gathered the children of the house to move Kuldeep’s body hidden in the blanket out of the house. "One of the kids spotted Kuldeep’s body and ran out of the farmland. He complained about it to other family members following which they all rushed to the place where Nisha was burning the body," the official said, adding that the police arrived at the spot on Saturday and took Kuldeep’s half-charred body into their custody.
When confronted by the police, Nisha broke down and admitted to her crime. "She said that she was fed up with every day quarrel and killed her husband. Then she after hiding the body for two days, she set the room on fire when the smell had begun to draw family’s suspicion. She took out the body along with other debris and torched it on Saturday after it dousing it with inflammable fuel," an official said.

Cops seek Interpol, IB help to track gangster Vikram

ALWAR: Almost a fortnight after the notorious fugitive Vikram Singh alias Papla fled from Behror police’s custody, the Rajasthan police have now sought help from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Interpol in tracking down the criminal.
The sources informed TOI that police agencies recently received an input that the accused may have fled to Nepal after over a dozen of his aides were arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG). The sleuths, part of the operation, said that all hideouts in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh were raided and search in a hope to nab Papla but in vain.
"The local gangs, including Om Sai gang, said that his present whereabouts could be traced to Nepal with the help of some UP-based gangs," an official said. A high-level meeting of top police officials was held in Alwar about finding ways to arrest the accused. On September 5, over a dozen heavily armed criminals had fired at Behror police station in Alwar district in broad daylight and spirited away with Haryana gangster Papla who was held in the lock-up.

From there, the gangster fled in a hatchback car with three other assailants. The fugitive’s car, which broke through a checkpoint at Sodawas, met with an accident while heading towards Mundawar tehsil. They robbed a pick-up vehicle at gunpoint and fled towards a narrow pathway. The pick-up vehicle was loaded with goods and they couldn’t accelerate.
Next day, the SOG and Haryana police launched a massive manhunt across the National Capital Region to arrest the accused. The SOG also issued a reward of Rs 1 lakh on the accused and Rs 50,000 on many of his other aides. The police late on Saturday night arrested Papla’s aide Balwan Singh.

JAIPUR: Jhunjhunu police cracked the murder case of a 25-year-old RAC constable in less than 24 hours and arrested his wife and cousin for the brutal crime.
Kuldeep Meghwal’s body was found with his throat slit in his house on Friday morning. Buhana SHO Devendra Pratap Singh said Kuldeerp’s wife Kavita (22) was under suspicion from the beginning as there were multiple contradictions in her statements about the events that preceded her husband’s murder.
"Just across Kuldeep’s house lived his cousin Sachin (19). He said he had gone to a nearby village to work at a construction site, but couldn’t provide details which added to our suspicion. As pressure began to mount, he admitted to the murder," Singh told TOI, adding that Sachin admitted that he was in an illicit relationship with Kavita.
Kavita admitted to the police that she had asked Kuldeep to work on farmlands on Friday with an aim to make him so exhausted that he could not resist any attack on him. Kuldeep fell for her wife’s tricks and worked for close to two hours on a farmland and returned home completely exhausted and fell asleep immediately.

"Kavita signalled Sachin to come to the room with an axe. Sachin attacked Kuldeep multiple times even as Kavita stood there watching her husband being killed," Pratap said, adding that entire room was awash with blood stains. "All the walls of the room were filled with blood stains," he said.
The accused had tried to give the killing a pretext of loot. "Kavita had unlocked a nearby room and ransacked it, giving it an appearance of murder for loot. But it was very clear that it was part of some scheme because robbers will never have keys to unlock the door," he said.
