AHMEDABAD: A 32-year-old woman was booked on Wednesday by Gomptipur police for allegedly abetting her husband to commit suicide on May 7.
According to the FIR filed by Gomtipur police, Anjanikumar Singh, 32, who worked as trackman with railways and is a resident of Khokhra area, consumed sedatives after his wife continuously harassed him. Anjanikumar Singh’s father Anilkumar, a native of Bihar’s Munger district, stated before Gomtipur police that his son had also sent him an audio recording in which the accused, Gudiya Singh, was telling him to die. He further stated, Gudiya, had earlier filed a complaint under the domestic violence act in 2016 against Anjanikumar and his parents. Later, Anjanikumar had filed an application with Dharhara police station of Munger district of Bihar. Later on the couple had decided to live together on a condition that Anjanikumar will not meet or talk with his parents. But later, Gudiya, again began harassing him by picking up fights over petty issues. Anjanikumar could not bear this and consumed sedative tablets on May 7 , said the FIR. tnn
