According to police, she told them she went to the spot twice— on a bus and a rental cab — to dump the body parts.

A 39-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly killing a man she used to be in a relationship with, chopping his body into pieces, and burying them in Kovalam on the outskirts of Chennai. The woman, who police said is a sex worker, was allegedly helped by another man in committing the murder.
The police said the victim has been identified as a ground staff with a private airline at Chennai International Airport. He lived with his sister’s family near Nanganallur in Chennai.

Last month, Pazhavanthangal police received a complaint from the victim’s sister that ge had been missing since March 18, and his mobile was switched off. Police registered an FIR on March 20 and started looking for him.
Police said that based on call recordings and other evidence, they found that he shad gone to Pudukkottai to meet the woman, G Bakkiyalakshmi.
Police said that when they questioned Bakkiyalakshmi, she gave contradictory statements and later confessed to having killed him.
According to a senior officer, the woman claimed they had a temple wedding a few years ago before eventually separating.
"On March 18, the man went to Pudukkottai to meet her, and it is here that she allegedly murdered him with the help of another person.
She allegedly cut the body into pieces, packed them in a plastic bag, and brought the severed pieces to Kovalam and dumped them. We are yet to get the full details," said the officer.
Police said she told them that she went to the spot twice – on a bus and a rental cab – to dump the body parts.
Kovalam police are identifying the body parts and are on the lookout for the other accused.
