Relative, his aides kill man for having extramarital affair in Jharkhand's Saraikela

Police said the man's body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway.

A Hyva driver has been killed for having an affair with a married women in Jharkhand's Saraikela. The incident took place in Puri Silli village under the Kapali police station in Saraikela's Chandil.

The deceased, Somwar Manjhi, was beaten and crushed to death with a stone in by brother-in-law, and friends of her partner Chintamani Manjhi. Chintamani's brother-in-law had caught Somwar red-handed, in a compromising position with his partner on Monday night.

Lugai, the brother-in-law of Chintamani called two of his friends, and all of them dragged Somwar to a nearby area and thrashed him with a bolder, and crushed him to death.

The villagers had been also annoyed with the illicit relationship, according to sources. A few days ago, too, both of them were spotted in a compromising position. They were threatened to part their ways, however, repeated warnings went unheeded.

The in-charge of Kapali police station, Vijay Yadav, said he was informed about the incident by the gram pradhan of Puri Silli. "We have sent the body for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway. We have also received a complaint from Chintamani Manjhi. She has accused her brother-in-law Lugai, and his other friends for the murder. We are conducting raids to nab the accused.
