Wife and four others held for husband's murder

Bengaluru: The Pulakeshi Nagar police have arrested a 48-year-old woman and four others for allegedly employing contract killers to murder her husband.

The police have identified the accused as Doreen, a resident of Jogupalya, near Ulsoor, in Bengaluru east suburb. The other accused are Sridhar, Prabhu, Patrick and Dinesh. One suspect, Avinash, is on the run. Two women are under surveillance. One of them had called Kumar to the spot where he was murdered.

According to the police, the deceased, G. Kumar, was a financier who resided in Jogupalya. On April 6, he was hacked to death by three men while he was on his way to hand over money to one of his customers near Kalpalli cemetery. The police claim to have evidence that point to the involvement of his wife Doreen Kumar.
