Meerut: In a shocking incident reported from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, a mother allegedly strangled her 5-year-old stepson to death after he found the woman in an objectionable position with his uncle. The incident occurred in Kapsad village of Sardhana town in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.
Later, the woman hid the body of the boy in the bed box. Police said the child may have been killed so that he could not expose the accused woman and her alleged illicit relationship with her brother-in-law.
According to a report, the victim used to live with his father and stepmother. Neighbours complained that the woman's behaviour with the boy was not acceptable.
Panic struck the boy's father when the victim was found missing from home on Thursday. The neighbours along with the boy's father began a search for the boy but to no avail.
Locals later got suspicious of the woman's behaviour and found the minor's body inside the bed box. The police have arrested the woman.
Woman kills son, accuses husband of infidelity
In a similar incident last month, a woman allegedly strangulated her eight-month-old baby to death in Jewar area of Greater Noida after her husband raised suspicion on her and said that he was not sure if he was the real father of the child. The woman has alleged that she was suspicious of her husband's character. The woman's husband, on the other hand, has said that he suspects her of infidelity.
However, the husband further accused his wife of having an illicit relationship with his elder brother. While the husband made allegations against the woman, she claimed that he had an extra-marital affair with his sister-in-law.
On August 11, the woman had told her husband and father-in-law that the minor died after falling. But during the police questioning, the woman confessed that she had strangled the child.
The accused had thrown the body of the minor in a container meant for storing grain. When the woman confessed to the family, they took out the body of the minor from the container. The family then wrapped the body in plastic and threw it out of the house.
