Suicide victim dies, wife, two others booked
The man, who had attempted suicide by consuming poison at his in-laws’ place in Bhagwatipara locality of Rajkot on Tuesday, died on Thursday

RAJKOT: The man, who had attempted suicide by consuming poison at his in-laws’ place in Bhagwatipara locality of Rajkot on Tuesday, died on Thursday. Following this, his wife, mother in-law and advocate were booked for suicide abetment on Thursday night.
The deceased, identified as Prakash Chawda (30), a resident of Rohidaspara locality in Morbi, had consumed poison at the house of his mother in-law Nirmala Saresa.
According to police, Chawda was tired of constant harassment by his wife Shital Chawda, Saresa and Shital’s advocate Minakshi. Shital had walked out on Chawda to stay with her mother. Through Minakshi she had filed a case against Chawda, demanding Rs 7 lakh alimony. Minakshi allegedly used to threaten Chawda to frame him in a case. Tired of this, Chawda had attempted suicide.
"We have booked Shital, Saresa and Minakshi for abetment to suicide on the complaint of Chawda’s brother Jitendra," said an official from Rajkot B division police station.
